Micro Links and Fusion Hair Extensions
Both Methods Cost: $ 2.50 with your own and from $ 4.50 with my Hair and beads or glue.
Micro links Hair Extensions
Micro links are small beads that are clamped into the hair with your natural hair and the extension inside. These are becoming increasingly popular. The links I use are aluminium with a layer of silicone inside which completely protects the hair and stops the links from slipping. As the hair grows the extensions can be easily moved up the hair. To keep them in good condition they should be moved up the hair between 8-10 weeks. You can move them up the hair 2-3 times{ depending on wether they are asian or indian} before they need replacing which means they can last for up to 8 months!
Fusion Hair Extensions
The hot fusion method uses a heat applicator to melt a Keratin tip into the hair. They generally last longer without maintenance but cannot be re-used like the micro links. These extensions are more likely to cause damage to hair if not applied the right way, so you stlyes to know what she is doing, but some people prefer these as they are less likely to slip. These extensions last in your hair for 4-6 months. They cannot be moved up the hair and are rarely re-used. The overall look is very natural with both methods.
